I am Mark Parkinson and I am proud to be the Headteacher of Walton Peak Flying High Primary and Nursery Academy.

Since Walton Peak Flying High and Nursery Academy opened its doors, in September 2021, we have been clear in our mission to be the heart of the community providing the very best start for our pupils and to become the school of choice for the immediate community and beyond. 

Our staff and pupils are extremely proud of our school. During our most recent inspection (March 2024), where the school was judged GOOD in all areas, OFSTED noted that "Pupils appreciate the school’s warm and welcoming environment, where everyone and everyday matters. Parents and carers know that staff go the extra mile to make sure that pupils feel valued and happy. Pupils want to come to school because, as one of them was eager to explain, ‘it will make them smart for the future’."  We ensure we provide a safe, happy positive environment for children to learn and flourish in, whilst setting the highest expectations of ourselves and pupils in all we do. 

As a staff, we work hard alongside the Flying High Partnership to ensure the curriculum challenges all pupils to fulfil their potential whilst providing them with experiences they will remember for a lifetime.  The skills, knowledge and resilience they develop will set them up to have the confidence to take on all the challenges they are faced with after primary school. It is through our Curriculum Principles that we embed our culture, inspiring our wonderful pupils in a supportive environment where they can succeed : providing a lasting positive impact that will last a lifetime.
